During the third quarter of 2021, several news and magazine applications on the Android platform experienced notable trends in Kuwait. Here’s a closer look at the performance of the top 5 apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.

نبض Nabd - اخبار العالم ، عاجل, published by Nabd Ltd, saw its weekly downloads fluctuate, starting at 1.4K in late June and decreasing to around 655 by the end of September. Its highest download week was the last week of July, with approximately 2.1K downloads. In terms of weekly active users, the app maintained a consistent user base, peaking at 37.3K in the last week of July and ending the quarter with around 33.3K active users.

ShilAkhbar | شالأخبار, from Mahatat Inc, experienced a decline in weekly downloads from 1.5K at the beginning of the quarter to 329 by the end of September. The app had a notable dip in downloads mid-July, recording as low as 408 downloads.

Dailyhunt Xpresso News Cricket, developed by Eterno Infotech, also showed varying download numbers, starting at 914 in late June and ending the quarter at 478. Active user metrics remained relatively stable, with a slight peak at 86.3K in the third week of September and finishing the quarter at approximately 75.9K active users.
